Booking Form - Conference 2015
To assist in reducing assessing days in centres and auditing cost, Quest has created partnerships with ukactive and the ASA which means if the relevant modules are selected as part of a Quest Plus assessment, the centre will also achieve that award!
ukactive - A centre needs to select the SPLUS18 Code of Practice module and pass all areas to achieve this award.
ASA Learn to Swim Accreditation - From August 2014, over a two year time frame a centre needs to select SPLUS20 Swimming Lessons and SPLUS28 ASA Learn to Swim. If both modules are not to be selected in the same year then SPLUS20 needs to be selected first and the accreditation will be awarded once the centre has passed the SPLUS28 module in the second year.
The criteria to achieve Quest Excellent is tough, approximately only 15% of the Quest registered centres and teams have achieved Quest Excellent or Quest Outstanding. To celebrate the hard work a manager and their team put into achieving Excellent, the Quest Ambassador Scheme was introduced in September 2013.
The purpose of this scheme is for our Quest Ambassadors to share their knowledge and expertise with other Centres and Teams wishing to achieve the same level of excellence. It gives other Centres and Teams a person they can speak to with hands on knowledge of the process and commitment that is needed to reach this high standard.
Caroline Constantine, Quest Operations Director and Managing Director of Right Directions, which runs the scheme on behalf of Sport England, says: “We’re hoping our new Ambassadors will be able to offer support to other centres and, in doing so, contribute to improving standards in the industry as a whole. We believe managers who have achieved such high scores have already shown great commitment and fully embraced Quest, so we’ll be asking them to speak at seminars, or our conference, to share their invaluable knowledge and unbeatable best practice advice.”
Further to the success of the seminars we held in 2013 and so far this year, we have just confirmed more new dates and locations:
Tuesday 11th November 2014 at Aquatics Centre, Olympic Park
Our famous seminars promise to be packed full of useful information on ways to benchmark your centre using our online tool, give and take lots of best practice tips and ideas back to your centre. A continuous improvement seminar not to be missed!
The seminars focus on getting the most out of the benchmarking lists which give you an opportunity to compare your centre’s performance against other centres from around the country. These sessions will show you how to utilise this useful tool to its full potential and enable you to gain further insight in to how your centre performs against others and how to improve.
The day will also include presentations/discoussion lead by an Excellent Ambassador!
A delegate fee of £30.00 (excluding VAT) per person is being charged to contribute to the expenses of the day.
To book your space on the seminar, please complete and return a booking form as soon as possible as spaces are limited.

We look forward to seeing you there!
In the last two years, only a small number of organisations going through Quest have stretched themselves with the optional health and wellbeing module; this is one of the biggest areas where providers can add value, yet they weren't being assessed on it.
However, it is clear that most leisure providers do contribute both to health and to community improvement, as well as to the crucial partnerships required to make both those themes work. The compulsory Community Outcomes module combines these strands in a single approach, meaning that all providers that achieve Quest Plus will now be able to demonstrate that they're addressing these issues.
Olympic silver medallist and mum, Gail Emms helped to raise the profile of Quest by encouraging parents to do the 'Quest check' to see if their local leisure facility is part of the scheme. Countless facilities are using this to their advantage!
